Tweetsie Railroad and their narrow gauge locomotives put on a show
for a newly released CD of their whistles and engineers abilities to
pull the whistle cord. The track include everything from a Baldwin 3
chime to a Nathan rare flat top 3 chime. It is titled High Lonesome
Sounds, the recordings were made by
Jonathan Shearin in 2005. There are 21 different tracks on the
CD, including 3 different 6" Crosby's, NATHAN, Lunkenhiemer,
Powell, American, and others. Some are from such railroads, as
southern, Winston-Salem Southbound, NYC, N&W, ET&WNC, White Pass and
Yukon, Illinois Central, and Dollywood.
