The Usual

Our group specializes in all technical and historical aspects whistles. We have

interactive Excel spreadsheets in our Files to aid members in accurate

and efficient whistle design (or for improving existing whistles). We also have a

number of useful links. We are the only group on the entire web to offer this service

and are the sole source of much of this information-all of it free to our

members!

Our Goal

We do not refer to air horns as whistles, so please limit your

questions to actual whistles. We will also do our best to answer any

historically related questions, as our entire membership is composed

of steam whistle enthusiasts, collectors and those holding patents on

steam or related whistles. We have more collective knowledge about

steam whistles among our membership than you will find anywhere else.

And If we don't have it, we'll find it.

The Mission

We want to bring all whistle collectors to one spot so we can all enjoy our

hobby together, as do other hobbyist.

Some want make whistle technology relevant with current warning

signal standards and reintroduce it as an efficient, viable warning

signal, competitive with current air horns and sirens. Other just want to share

knowledge and photos about locomotive, ship, or factory whistles.

Whatever your fancy you'll be sure to find it here!
