Dedicated to my father.

On May 1, 2004 the 3 annual Heritage Farm whistle blow took place, and let me be the first to tell you we had a blast. At first we were blowing the whistles profusely but we soon figured out that wouldn't work when "someone" (i.e. old lady) came over and told us we couldn't blow our whistles because they were to loud. So we set a time for every half hour. After that everything went great. We were blowing on 120-125lbs and we know that's better than 200lbs of air any day. Between 4 of us we had 10 locomotive whistles mostly from the C&O and N&W.

Click each sound to hear most of the the whistles we had at the blow. On the first file you will hear (in this order); C&O 3 Chime, N&W hooter (cast iron and brass bell), N&W short bell hooter, C&O 6 Chime, B&A 5 Chime, N&W hooter (cast bell), Lunkenheimer, and C&O K4 one note. The second file is a N&W Hancock 3 Chime.

We at steam-whistles.com would like to thank heritage farm museum for letting us blow some whistles and have a great time down there.

Check them out @...
